Built for
Creators

USE_CASE: ALL_OF_THE_ABOVE
01 / Content Creators & YouTubers

Grow your global audience

Subtitles increase watch time by up to 80% and unlock non-English-speaking markets overnight. Upload your raw footage, get a subtitle-burned video back in under a minute, and publish across all your channels without touching a timeline editor.

02 / Educators & Course Creators

Make every lesson accessible

Students learn better with captions — especially non-native speakers and those with hearing impairments. Autosubbed turns a lecture recording into a fully captioned, ADA-friendly video in seconds, so you can focus on teaching instead of editing.

03 / Marketers & Social Media Teams

Capture silent scrollers

85% of social video is watched without sound. Burned-in subtitles are the only format that works on Instagram Reels, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X without relying on platform auto-captions that often get it wrong. Ship polished content every time.

04 / Businesses & Corporate Teams

Professional videos at scale

From internal training videos and product demos to investor presentations and webinar recordings — Autosubbed handles batch subtitling without the overhead of a dedicated video editor. Keep your brand fonts and colors consistent across every asset.

Frequently Asked
Questions

QUERY_STATUS: ANSWERED
What video formats does Autosubbed accept?
Autosubbed accepts MP4 and MOV files, which covers the vast majority of video content from phones, cameras, and screen recorders. Files can be up to 500 MB per upload. If your source file is in a different format, a free tool like HandBrake can convert it to MP4 in seconds before uploading.
How long does processing take?
Processing time depends on video length, but our GPU-accelerated cloud pipeline is fast: a typical 10-minute video — including AI transcription, SRT generation, and FFmpeg subtitle burning — is ready to download in under 60 seconds. Longer videos scale proportionally. You can close the tab and come back; we'll have your file waiting.
How accurate are the subtitles?
We use OpenAI Whisper, the state-of-the-art speech recognition model trained on 680,000 hours of multilingual audio. For clear recordings in a single language, accuracy consistently exceeds 95%. Background noise, heavy accents, and multiple overlapping speakers reduce accuracy — so cleaner audio always produces better results. You can download the SRT file on paid plans to review and edit before burning if needed.
Can I customize the subtitle style?
Yes. Before processing, you can choose from multiple font families, adjust font weight and size, set the text color, and configure positioning. This makes it easy to match your brand identity — a bold yellow font for YouTube thumbnails, a clean white for corporate presentations, or a stylized look for social media reels. Your chosen style is burned permanently into every frame.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Every new account includes a free trial that lets you process one video up to 2 minutes long — no credit card required. It's the fastest way to see the quality of our AI transcription and subtitle burning before committing to a plan. When you're ready to process longer videos and download your results, paid plans start at a competitive monthly rate.
What languages are supported?
Autosubbed supports over 50 languages via OpenAI Whisper, including English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Arabic, Hindi, and many more. The model auto-detects the spoken language — no manual selection required. Multilingual videos (where speakers switch languages mid-clip) are also handled gracefully.
Can I download the SRT subtitle file?
On all paid plans, you can download both the final video with burned-in subtitles and the raw SRT file. The SRT file is useful if you want to upload captions separately to YouTube, upload to a CMS, or make manual corrections before a second burn. Trial accounts receive the burned video but not the standalone SRT download.
Are the subtitles permanently burned into the video?
Yes — that's the whole point. Unlike "soft subtitles" (separate SRT tracks that platforms can ignore or display incorrectly), our process uses FFmpeg to embed the text directly into the video pixels at the frame level. The result plays identically on every platform, device, and player with no dependency on subtitle track support. Once burned, the subtitles cannot be removed without re-processing the source video.
